Yes, its been known for months. He basically comes back in between movies to help spike ratings and put people over. He probably won't be back til Royal Rumble next year to once again help hype up the road to Wrestlemania steal the spotlight from those that busted ass all year while he was in Hollywood.

After the Sean William Scott buddy cop flick is released, Rock is about to begin work on a remake of Walking Tall.

.......and that's one to grow on.

I expect the WWE to lose more fans once Rock leaves. He was probably the only reason there was a slight ratings increase in the last couple of weeks.

He has to stay in it for the long haul to get the fans back.

The Rock has been excellent in his role since his return, and I agree perhaps has been helping prop up the saggings ratings a little bit as of late.

I don't think however that him staying will be enough for the dans to come back. I think Vince and Co. need to make some wholesale changes. Returning and Part-Time stars have proven to not be the answer.

Go to any wrestling websites virtually any day, and everyone is asking for the same thing. New faces in the main event.

People are tired of seeing the same ole face on top, week in and week out. HHH, Hogan, Michaels, Nash, Show, Undertaker, Austin and even to a degree the aforementioned Rock.

I am by no means saying this guys don't have a place on the card, but as champions and main eventers, they have over stayed their welcome.

People are clamoring for guys like Booker, RVD, Benoit, Jericho, Rhyno, etc to be given a true shot at the top of the card. Not spot appearances here and there, but actual elevation to the top of the card.

If you look back through the history of wrestling, it's a very simple formula.

Upcoming guy garners several key wins over guys in the middle of the card, starts getting matches with guys at the top, and starts to win matches over them with some regularity.

It seems with the exception of Brock, Vince has been afraid of giving ANYONE a legitimate push. The best they've done is give guys like RVD, Booker and Jericho some midcard wins, only so they can be fodder to make the tops guys look even better when they beat them.

Wrestlemania was a perfect example of the problems in their booking. Booker T would have benefited so much from a clean win of HHH at mania, while Hunter had very little to gain by shutting down yet another intriguing challenger. The same goes for the Michaels/Jericho match. A win for Jericho, over the self proclaimed King of wrestlemania would have done wonders for Jericho's legacy. Instead, the part time, washed up Michaels gets a win that has done nothing for him.

Until Vince remembers how he reclaimed the top spot when many of his stars left for WCW, I don't see any improvments forthcoming.

.......and that's one to grow on.
